Repayment |
- Begins 9 months after graduation or less than half time enrollment from the University
- Borrower will receive a monthly billing statement from Duke University 's billing servicer, Educational Computer Systems, Inc. (ECSI). Payments are due on the first day of each month; please allow sufficient time for mailing.
- Payments with an accompanying remittance statement should be mailed to:

- Funds are disbursed at the beginning of each term awarded after Promissory Note and Statement of Rights and Responsibilities are signed

How to Apply:
First time borrower
- Complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov
- Eligibility will be determined by Duke's Financial Aid Office and included in the student's award notification letter.
- Complete the required combined Stafford/Perkins Entrance Counseling at www.mappingyourfuture.org
- You will receive the Perkins Loan Master Promissory note, Truth-in-Lending Statement, and disclosure form by mail from the Student Loan Office starting mid June. Complete the packet in its entirety and return with the enclosed envelope.
Continuing Students
- Complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov
- Eligibility will be determined by Duke's Financial Aid Office and included in the student's award notification letter.
- You will receive the Truth-in-Lending Statement, and disclosure form by mail from the Student Loan Office. Complete the forms and return with the enclosed envelope.
